About Robin

Robin McCoy was born and raised in Lawrenceville, Georgia, and graduated from Berkmar High School in Lilburn. Robin went on to attend Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, Georgia, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s of Arts in History and Government. As an underclassman, she started the ABAC Gaming Club, and later the ABAC Political Science Club. Robin then studied environmental public policy, American public policy, and public administration at Colorado State University, where she was also a graduate teaching assistant.

Upon her return to Georgia, Robin spent time working at the Boys and Girls Club in Lawrenceville, helping administrate after-school activities. She also worked as a facilitator for an LGBTQIA+ teen support group, which guided Robin toward further involvement with LGBTQIA+ advocacy work at the Georgia State Capitol. Through her advocacy work with PFLAG, she analyzed bills introduced by the general assembly, organized community members to engage with their elected officials, and even led classes that informed people how to engage with their government on a deeper level than the average voter. She is an avid fan of the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Hawks, Atlanta United, and the Atlanta Dream.
